Iran will come into this World Cup making their 5th appearance at the championships. They will look to finally make it out of groups for the first time in their history. It will be tough being drawn in a very strong group with two of Europe's elite, but they hope they can finally pull through and make it to the knockout stage. This is the first time Iran has qualified for back to back World Cups though they failed to really make any noise in 2014 as they failed to win a single match. Young Rubin Kazan forward Sardar Azmoun will be looking to lead the line for the Iran attack. The young striker has been linked with numerous European clubs including Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool and this might just be the tournament he needs to force a move to a bigger club. He will be needed if Iran are to pose any real threat to any of the quality defenses they will face in the groups. Iran could play spoiler to one of the big dogs though it is unlikely but there have been crazier things in the past.
